Specialized Manufacturing
The Kansas City region is at the forefront of a renaissance in American manufacturing. The KC region’s manufacturing industry is expected to grow by more than 7 percent by 2024, despite an almost 7 percent decrease nationwide. This regional activity is highlighted by over $1.5 billion in new investments by legacy American automakers Ford Motor Company and General Motors.
Supply Chain Logistics
As the crossroads of North America, Kansas City offers a strong advantage as 85 percent of the U.S. population can be reached from a Kansas City location within two days or less.
Transportation
The Kansas City region has a rich history as a center for commerce. Its heartland, river-based location made it a natural crossroads for transcontinental rail, interstate, and waterway. Through its history, Greater Kansas City has established itself as the leading center for trade and distribution within the central United States.
As one of the chief advocates for businesses in the Blue River Valley Corridor, the Blue Valley Industrial Association (BVIA) is a great resource to tap into. Since 1920, the BVIA has had a positive impact on economic development, infrastructure, recreation and education in the Blue Valley.
